Genealogy of the Sides Family

Editor's Note: As I elaborated on the first page of the Sides Family Genealogy Website on FromAllSides.org, I often wondered about my grandfathers family from Alabama. To answer my questions and put my mind at rest, I flew to Alabama and met my grandfathers family. It was an amazing trip and a special thanks go out to Warren and Bonnie Sides for being wonderful hosts and taking me to the sites that would help answer my questions.

We were welcome with open arms to Warren and Bonnie's house on the lake. Below are pictures of their beautiful lakeside property. Earl and I appreciate the warm reception from Bonnie and Warren, as well as all the others who drove for hours to come and meet us at the Reunion on November 4, 2006 at the Barfield Baptist Church Hall. It was an experience I will never forget and hope to do again.

The next photo is at the top of Cheaha Mountain. At 2,407 feet above sea level, Cheaha Mountain is the highest point in Alabama. This state park is surrounded by the Talladega National Forest. This 2,799-acre mountaintop retreat provides breathtaking scenery year-round.
